Meet Our People
How We’re Building an AI-Ready Workforce

AI is moving fast, and so are we. We’re making sure our teammates have the skills and confidence to keep learning, experimenting, and building.
AI fluency takes practice. That’s why our Learning and Development team launched the DraftKings AI Academy, led by Julia, Senior Manager of Learning and Talent Development. Through self-paced learning paths, practical guides, and team-targeted capability-building, team members can build core skills and discover new ways to use AI in their day-to-day work.
“We have a culture of innovation, of building and experimentation,” Julia said. “You need that when working with AI and learning AI.”
AI Expands What’s Possible
That spirit of experimentation is opening new possibilities across DraftKings. Our teams are exploring how AI can help them think differently, solve problems, and work more effectively.
Julia describes AI as a “great equalizer.” You don’t have to be an expert to start exploring what it can do. Curiosity and a willingness to experiment can take you a long way.
We are putting world-class AI tools in the hands of all teammates to ensure they are best positioned to innovate and reshape how their work gets done. Since the technology will keep changing, adaptability matters. Julia’s work focuses on helping teams see learning as a continuous process throughout their employment, not a single chapter in their career journey.
Building AI Fluency
Instead of chasing every new AI tool, the DraftKings AI Academy helps teammates develop skills they can carry forward. They can practice, explore real use cases, and learn by doing. We offer our teammates access to ChatGPT/Codex, Claude CoWork/Code, n8n, and many other AI tools to experiment with and build with.
The Academy combines hands-on learning through skills drills, learning loops, hackathons, and bootcamps with social learning features that enable teammates to share progress and tips with one another. In true DraftKings fashion, our people love a good competition, and highlights from teammates keep engagement going.
It’s about building the confidence to use AI responsibly and effectively, then applying what you learn to your own work.
Experiment. Learn. Share. Repeat.
Some of the best ideas start with a simple question: How can I solve bigger problems with AI in my toolkit?
Across DraftKings, that mindset is turning ideas into real solutions. From product managers creating agents to complete repetitive tasks, to our internal teams creating newsletters to better communicate - we’re putting AI to work at every level. Here are a few more examples of what our teams are doing:
- Analytics: Streamlining reporting so teams can spend more time on analysis and decision-making.
- Engineering: Troubleshooting issues faster and accelerating development by automating the full SDLC process.
- Marketing: Improving quality checks and helping teams create more timely creative content.
- Operations: Simplifying processes like vendor reviews and project updates to reduce repetitive work.
AI helps us achieve what previously felt impossible, but people remain at the center of how we work. It’s our teammates who bring the curiosity, wisdom, and creativity to turn new technology into meaningful impact that rapidly compounds over time as teams repeat the build-and-learn process.
If that sounds like the kind of workplace where you’d do your best work, DraftKings could be the place you’ve been waiting for. Explore our open roles today.
