What It Takes to Unify the DraftKings Sports Experience

For years, DraftKings has launched industry-leading apps, including Pick6, Sportsbook, Casino, Lottery, and Predictions. Now, we're bringing them together in one place - The DraftKings Sports & Casino app.

The app continues to evolve to better reflect how fans engage with sports in the moment, with expanded pre-game and in-play stats, dedicated hubs for major sporting events, and an always-on Live tab that surfaces the action as it happens. With Predictions, it’s more than sports; we also offer other markets, with availability varying by jurisdiction.

This shift in strategy required teammates across Engineering, Product, Design, Analytics, and beyond to think bigger about how everything works together. The exciting challenge has been building the connective elements across our apps to create the best possible experience for our customers.

For Greg Karamitas, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Sports, and Geoff Scott, Senior Vice President of Product, the mission is simple: build the best experience in the industry.

“We have the opportunity to put our energy into trying to build the best thing that we could possibly make for the customer who wants that offering and is passionate about it,” Geoff explained. 

That mindset has been part of DraftKings since the beginning.

Both leaders joined when the company was still a startup. Today, with thousands of teammates around the world, they say the same entrepreneurial energy still drives every decision. Teams constantly challenge themselves to improve, innovate, and create something better than yesterday.

“That energy and passion are still there: go out and compete and figure out how you actually make apps that are great,” Greg said. “We have a very competitive mindset in making sure that we are building the best in the industry.”

Our new robust all-in-one app is a major step forward, but it’s not the finish line. As Geoff shared, every year at DraftKings brings something new to go after. For our teammates, that means the chance to keep learning, make an impact, and shape the future of sports.
