From Job Moves to Career Milestones

In the world of gaming and technology, change isn’t just inevitable—it’s an opportunity. Anna, a Talent Acquisition Associate, embraced a major change when Jackpocket was acquired by DraftKings in May 2024. She went from working on a team of two at a start-up to joining a team of 50+ at one of the industry’s leading sports technology and entertainment companies. 

“When I joined DraftKings in May, it was a whirlwind,” Anna recalls. “Everything was fresh, fast, and exciting—but in the best way possible.”

With change comes opportunity, and Anna found herself stepping into a mentorship role. 

“It was a moment of growth for me—stepping into a role where I was training and guiding others. It made me realize how much I had learned and could contribute,” Anna said. 

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, Anna plays a critical role in building our Lottery Operations team—hiring Associates, Managers, and Supervisors. She describes our Operations Associates as the “backbone” of our Jackpocket products. 

Anna’s passion for Talent Acquisition stems from her diverse experience on both sides of the hiring process. She has experience as a hiring manager, career coach, and job placement specialist. 

“There’s a unique satisfaction in placing someone in the right role and watching them thrive. It’s rewarding to know you’ve contributed to their career growth and the company’s success,” Anna said.
