Inside Our New Dublin Office

We’ve opened the doors to our new Dublin office, a space designed around how our teammates work and connect. With quiet areas for individual focus and breakout spaces for collaboration, it gives our Ireland team a new setting to share ideas and spend time together.

To celebrate the opening, team members came together for guided tours, games, and a welcome from our executive team, recognizing the team’s growth and this next chapter for DraftKings in Dublin.

Designed for our teammates

For Emma, Senior HR Business Partner, the employee experience was central to the new office. The aim was to create an environment that supports productivity and makes room for meaningful connections.

That means places to concentrate when the work calls for it, alongside spaces to work through ideas with other team members. A shared kitchen and pool table offer opportunities to catch up between projects, while sports memorabilia and league-inspired seating bring our personality into the space.

Emma describes a culture where teammates are encouraged to share their ideas and challenge the status quo. Bringing people together is part of that approach.

“As the office grows, maintaining that sense of connection and community is going to be really important to us,” she says. Emma emphasizes the chance to work with talented teammates, take on meaningful work, and develop a career as the company grows.

Complex challenges and room to grow

Dublin’s technology community and talent pool make it an important location for DraftKings, Emma explains. For engineers considering a career here, John, Senior Director of Engineering, points to the technical challenges they can take on.

“You will be working on really difficult projects,” John says.

He describes the challenge of supporting large volumes of content feed updates, bet placements, and prediction trades, and the technology needed to manage them. He also highlights leaders who are technologists themselves and encourages teams at every level to explore new approaches.

For people who enjoy solving complex problems, that combination of technical ambition and collaboration is part of the opportunity in Dublin. 

Coming together and giving back

The opening celebration put that sense of belonging into practice. Through a hands-on DK SERVES activity, teammates packed hygiene kits for people in need, making time to support the community around them as they explored their new office.

This activity was a chance to celebrate the people who make up our Dublin team and the space where they’ll continue working together.
