What encouraged you to join the DraftKings team?

I've been part of the DraftKings Talent Acquisition team for two and a half years. Starting as a TA Specialist in the Kyiv, Ukraine office, I immediately knew I had found my dream job. What initially drew me in was the vibrant company culture, transparent communication, clear growth paths, access to top-notch tools, and, of course, the fantastic team of enthusiastic professionals I was fortunate to join.

Can you share more about your DraftKings relocation journey?

My relocation journey began in 2023, and on September 1, the same year, I successfully transitioned to the Talent Acquisition team at our Sofia office in Bulgaria. That same day, I was thrilled to receive my first promotion, becoming a Talent Acquisition Partner.

Being not just an expert but a local expert carries significant weight in my role. While I joined DraftKings as an experienced technical recruiter, I attribute my recent promotion and success not just to my dedication but to the collective effort within the Bulgarian People Team. The DraftKings work culture has provided unwavering support, removing potential obstacles. My team's willingness to share knowledge, consistent feedback from my manager, and the ability to set clear goals have all played significant roles in my growth in the company.

What does it feel like to be part of the DraftKings team in Bulgaria?

Thanks to my team's incredible support, my transition has been smooth. They welcomed me warmly, providing insights into the local area, culture, and customs. They made sure I felt included and supported both professionally and personally. Whether offering guidance on navigating the city or collaborating seamlessly on projects, their assistance has made a difference in my transition. I'm grateful to be part of such a supportive team environment and to have enjoyed being part of the DraftKings Bulgaria community from day one, with access to all locally available benefits. I most enjoy Bulgarian language lessons, team-building activities, and the opportunity to participate in tech conferences, as they align with my career goals and enable me to socialize. Bulgaria has a unique work culture where building strong interpersonal relationships, trust, and loyalty are integral.

For me, 'The Crown Is Yours' embodies growth - both personally and professionally. It signifies taking ownership and accountability for DraftKings’ goals and how I can contribute to my team's collective effort through my role and individual success. By setting high standards, fostering collaboration, taking initiative, staying focused and adaptive, and demonstrating unwavering commitment to results, I am actively shaping my professional journey within DraftKings.
