Senior Manager, Equity & Payroll

As a Senior Manager, Equity & Payroll, you will be a crucial contributor to our Finance group, fulfilling subject matter expertise for stock plan administration and payroll, including related tax implications.  In this role, you’ll assist with company-wide equity education and work cross functionally with high profile areas of the business, including People Operations, Human Resources, Legal, and our Executive Leadership teams. What you’ll do as a Senior Manager, Equity & Payroll:

  • Ensure that bi-weekly payroll processes are streamlined, effective, and exceptionally accurate across all pay and tax filings and in full compliance.

  • Assist with preparing all relevant equity transactions such as exercises, releases, equity compensation from M&A deals, and stock-based compensation.

  • Ensure the proper taxation is applied to all equity exercises and releases and that all quarterly tax payments are made timely.

  • Manage and respond to inquiries related to stock-based compensation data transactions.

  • Assist with the mobility program and international reporting compliance from an equity perspective.

  • Work closely with our transfer agent and broker to execute tasks.

  • Prepare monthly equity gain and tax withholding reconciliations for all payrolls to ensure proper reporting.

  • Maintain general ledger and review all related journal entries for payroll.

  • Prepare disclosures for SEC filings, including the proxy and Section 16 forms.

  • Partner with all groups to keep on an open line of communication regarding employee changes and the onboarding process.

What you’ll bring:  

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with excellent academic credentials.  An emphasis in Finance or Accounting is strongly preferred.

  • At least 8 years of stock plan administration and payroll or relevant experience with a publicly-traded company

  • Experience with U.S. federal and state taxation relating to domestic payroll and equity compensation and general knowledge of global taxation of equity compensation.

  • Experience with 404 SOX requirements for stock plans and payroll.

This position can sit in either Boston, MA or remote; however, this work is to be performed entirely outside of Colorado.
