Senior Manager, Business Development (Talent & Influencers)

The DraftKings Business Development team is growing rapidly and is searching for an experienced Senior Manager to help manage and organize the needs of the Talent / Influencer team across Business Development and cross-functionally at DraftKings. In joining the Business Development group, you will be responsible for managing talent and related creative deal flow across a wide variety of functions and team members. Our team works in a fast-paced, results-driven environment that will require you to balance multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines at once. The Senior Manager will exercise impeccable judgment in a variety of situations and handle confidential matters with the utmost discretion and drive the depth of important relationships with key athletes, celebrities and influencers. 

What You’ll do as Senior Manager: 

  • Work directly with the Director of BD, Talent to manage day-to-day operations, oversee critical timelines, coordinate priorities and statements of work, legal interactivity and communicate important tasks cross-functionally related to talent acquisition, activation and results 

  • Steward contract negotiations and manage details of contract implementation 

  • Be strategically minded and passionate about understanding the evolution of the talent, influencer and creator economies 

  • Effectively communicate internally and with talent/agents about process and operations in lead up to events and activations 

  • Help generate and ideate on the content experience, specifically related to digital and social media alongside talent 

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal workstreams (digital, content, VIP, etc.) and external talent agencies 

  • Respond to a wide variety of requests for information and executive action; communicating effectively in the face of change, conflict, and competing priorities 

  • Use rigorous metrics as the basis for decision making; including deal valuation, activation performance, and event recaps 

What skills You’ll Bring: 

  • 7+ years of experience working in a busy, high-growth, and fast-paced environment 

  • High EQ and relevant experience working with talent / agency at all levels 

  • Highly advanced analytical, organizational and process & project management skills 

  • Attention to detail and and a demonstrated ability to balance multiple competing priorities

  • Strong computer and technical skills; in particular Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Google Suite 

  • Advanced organizational and communication skills; both written and verbal 

  • Experience working with all levels of management, and consulting with key business stakeholders to solicit feedback and gain buy-in
