Senior Manager, Accounting Information Systems & Process Optimization

Reporting to the Senior Director and B2C Controller, this newly created role is a key driver of the company’s long-term process and technology goals. The Senior Manager, Accounting Information Systems & Process Optimization will be actively involved in a broad range of accounting, treasury, and finance processes and to support our rapidly growing company. This high visibility role provides a tremendous opportunity to transform and enhance our company and to influence change throughout the organization.

What you’ll do as the Senior Manager, Accounting Information Systems & Process Optimization

  • Assist accounting team in improving the close process by:

  • Identifying areas of finance processes and technology that need improvement (automation, workflow, other), and recommending and implementing solutions that deliver results

  • Work with global controllership team to improve financial statement close process (i.e., reduce business days needed to close)

  • Assess current risks in existing finance technology, recommend practical solutions, and drive change

  • Leverage knowledge and past experience to bring best-in-class finance processes and technology ideas to the organization

  • Work with business partners to identify operational gaps that can be added to the project roadmap, setting operational requirements for such new projects.

  • Work with engineering, product and accounting to research issues and implement process improvements.

  • Draft business requirements documents, technical specs, functional designs, test scripts, test plans, and training materials.

  • Participate in various initiatives intended to improve specific finance areas or functions.

  • Support the administration of Coupa and NetSuite post launch, providing user operational support and respond to audit inquiries, as necessary.

  • Work with external vendors and product support teams to effectively troubleshoot system issues as they arise.

What You'll Bring:

  • 6 to 10 years of relevant experience with solid knowledge of system development methodology, project management, system architecture and analytical/problem solving skills

  • Direct experience working within Accounting to drive more efficient close processes

  • Experience working with “best-in-class” finance organizations and knowledge of technology solutions and how to leverage them in a disaggregated systems environment

  • Ability to problem solve— Identifying the problem statement, researching best practices, driving alignment and recommending practical solutions

  • Ability to communicate clearly across multiple stakeholders

  • Extensive experience interpreting user needs and writing functional specifications for new systems, systems changes and/or system

  • Ability to self-manage multiple projects within tight timeframes and competing priorities

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to influence others in order to achieve results

  • Experience with NetSuite, Coupa and SQL strongly preferred

  • Proficiency in writing and reviewing code in SQL is preferred

  • Proficiency in Python and business intelligence tools (e.g., MSFT PowerBI, Tableau, Snowflake, etc.) is preferred
