Senior Creative Content Manager

We’re seeking a Senior Creative Content Manager to join a team dedicated to building and executing best-in-class content as part of our growing DraftKings media vertical. In this role, you will be responsible for the conceptual development, planning, and creative execution of original content and programming across DraftKings audio and video platforms. You’ll serve as a pivotal member of the programming team and manage detailed aspects of content development, working closely with on-air talent, production partners, and technical personnel.  Sound good to you?  Join us!

What you’ll do as Senior Creative Content Manager:

  • Lead the creative direction of DraftKings’ programming across audio and video channels in accordance with our content strategy.

  • Direct and coordinate the full scope of producing activities of temporary or matrixed producers, on-air talent, and third-party production partners accountable for program development and production.

  • Oversee and control the flow of production assets for assigned sports news shows.

  • Accountable for content from inception to execution and budget performance of assigned shows.

  • Responsible for identifying new talent and developing on-air personalities in accordance with our content strategy and programming pillars to maximize viewership, grow brand reach, and drive advertising revenue.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify opportunities and surface content across the DraftKings ecosystem while ensuring compliance with on-air talent agreements. 

  • Use mastery of sports knowledge, current events, and news judgment to determine the agenda, concepts, and content.

What you’ll bring:   

  • Detailed production and technical knowledge of live, taped, and segmented programming. 

  • Ability to think creatively and serve as a thought leader on the media team to develop new show concepts.

  • Creative storytelling experience, the ability to lead teams, and a track record of working with high-profile on-air personalities.

  • Consistently demonstrate leadership thinking and actions aligned with the DraftKings Leadership behaviors when influencing decisions and interacting with others across the organization.

  • Established knowledge of sports, sports culture, and emerging media trends and platforms.

  • Demonstrated management experience with strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Exceptional writing and copy-editing skills.

  • Knowledge of television production and video editing in digital and analog environments with a specific understanding of television production techniques used in a digital control room.

  • A minimum of 7 years of progressively complex related studio or related production experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
