Regulatory Operations Manager, Daily Fantasy Sports

We’re growing rapidly and are searching for a Regulatory Operations Manager who will support our Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) regulatory operations across the U.S.. The Regulatory Operations Manager will provide feedback on proposed regulations, provide ongoing regulatory guidance to the business, perform gap analyses to facilitate the creation and maintenance of state-specific internal controls, and act as the primary contact for regulators. 

The successful candidate must have outstanding communication skills, an ability to anticipate and deliver on the needs of a fast-paced and innovative business, and the flexibility to simultaneously manage a wide range of projects.   

What you'll do as a Regulatory Operations Manager:

  • Provide feedback on proposed laws and regulations applicable to fantasy sports  

  • Assist with launching DFS in new jurisdictions

  • Own and manage the DFS Internal Controls documentation

  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including fantasy sports regulators

  • Act as the primary point of contact with regulators on day-to-day operational queries

  • Partner with the Compliance team to ensure compliance with regulations

  • Oversee the compilation and manage the delivery of reporting, and other regulatory deliverables, to regulators

  • Provide fantasy sports regulatory guidance to the business

  • Support the response to technical and operational incidents affecting the platform to ensure timely resolution and proper reporting to stakeholders

What you'll bring:

  • Solid knowledge of DraftKings DFS product

  • Strong project management and interpersonal skills, makes sound decisions, and exhibits initiative and critical thinking 

  • Ability to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways

  • Proven ability to read and understand laws and regulations

  • Superb communication and relationship skills across functions and levels

  • Comfortable balancing multiple, competing priorities and changes in scope/direction

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Google Drive

  • Experience working with regulatory bodies or external partners preferred 

  • Bachelor’s degree required
