Regulatory Operations Manager

We’re growing rapidly and are searching for a Regulatory Operations Manager to lead a team focused on internal and external regulatory matters.  When you join our team, you will work cross-functionally to maintain and document regulatory requirements at the state, federal, and international levels.  You’ll be a confident self-starter able to represent DraftKings accurately and diplomatically throughout regulatory processes and be able to lead your team towards operational efficiency and success. What you’ll do as Regulatory Operations Manager:

  • Review new regulations on a state-by-state basis, delegate tasks, and perform gap analysis to facilitate the creation and submission of the internal controls.

  • Responsible for serving as a single point of contact for multi-jurisdiction launches, providing support, guidance, and mentorship for the Regulatory Operations team.

  • Partner with the project management and compliance teams to ensure regulatory compliance in each new jurisdiction.

  • Represent the regulatory operations team as a stakeholder in company projects.

  • Maintain relationships with key stakeholders such as third-party providers, partners, and regulators.

  • Oversee the compilation and delivery of periodic ad hoc reports for key stakeholders.

  • Assist in developing the regulatory operations roadmap and implementing operational process improvements.

  • Determine operational requirements from new legislation or regulations and propose methods of implementation.

What you’ll bring:   

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field. A Master's Degree is preferred.

  • Experience in online gaming or payments processing is preferred.

  • Understanding of multi-state regulations and regulatory changes.

  • Executive poise and presence to interface across functions and levels.

  • Knowledge of State, Federal, and International gaming and applicable financial laws preferred.

  • Experience working with regulatory bodies and external stakeholders.

  • Strong managerial, leadership, strategic planning, and decision-making skills.

  • Possess the ability to manage tight deadlines and multiple complex projects simultaneously.

  • Appetite for training and developing your team and the ability to work cross-functionally in a complex, matrixed organization. 

  • Anti-Money Laundering certification or knowledge is considered a plus.

  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours as needed.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
