People Operations Specialist

We have an incredible team working together to build innovative people experiences for everyone at DraftKings. We are looking for a detailed and solution-oriented People Operations Specialist to create operational excellence within the People Team. In this role, you will support the People Team in researching, creating, and rolling-out employee programs and processes that drive efficiencies and transparency. You are motivated by process improvement and operations excellence, and work with an urgency to achieve results.
 

WHAT YOU’LL DO AS A PEOPLE OPERATIONS SPECIALIST:

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to understand gaps and challenges in current processes and programs to ultimately drive future improvements.

  • Perform regular audits, creating and adhering to reference documentation to ensure data integrity throughout systems and reporting.

  • Manage organizational structure and people data management through routine auditing in Workday.

  • Maintain offer letter and global employment agreement
    templates.

  • Maintain and review our document central repository strategy.

  • Work closely with our internal and external auditors to help gather relevant SOX and technical compliance related documents.

  • Own quarterly and annual knowledge base articles and job aids governance review.

  • Help maintain contents within the People Team’s hub/intranet.

  • Draft Standard Operating Procedures for core People processes as well as our internal protocols and best practices.

  • Assist the team with EEO-1 reporting and other statutory required reporting.

  • Participate in the People Team initiatives, roadmap planning and ongoing status meetings.

  • Participate in our annual HR activities including Workday User Acceptance Testing, as needed.

  • Perform other reporting and compliance matters as requested by Legal and Compliance.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred with 2+ years of experience working within a HR function, ideally in a growth-oriented company.

  • Experience with Workday HCM.

  • Strong business acumen, including critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and initiative skills.

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and demonstrated ability to work well under pressure.

  • Internal drive for data integrity across all responsibilities.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

  • Collaborative spirit with a passion for process improvement.
