Manager, Privacy Compliance

What you’ll do as Privacy Compliance Manager:

  • Manage technical aspects of global data privacy, focusing on U.S., EU, UK, and Canada data protection requirements for international companies in a fast-paced, complex corporate environment.

  • Serve as primary Compliance liaison with Consumer Data Platform product managers and Data Engineering leadership to identify and implement data protection requirements across all systems.

  • Develop and implement a privacy assessment and audit framework (including conducting PIAs) to ensure project requirements incorporate Privacy by Design & Default principles.

  • Manage the integration of privacy-focused technologies in partnership with Product and Data Engineering teams.  

  • Assist the Company in conducting data inventories of data systems and repositories used by U.S., EU, and UK subsidiaries.

  • Assist in developing and maintaining records of processing activities for subsidiaries across the enterprise.

  • Assist in drafting and implementing various data protection policies, procedures, and training materials for U.S., EU, and UK subsidiaries.

  • Counsel business stakeholders on data protection issues and technical solutions for various consumer products and commercial practices.

  • Assist in managing timely responses to and fulfillment of data subject rights requests for access, portability, erasure, and other matters.

  • Conduct and assist in implementing company-wide training on data protection requirements under several international data privacy regimes.  

  • Assist the Compliance department with miscellaneous regulatory matters pertaining to the company’s new product launches and operations in state and international gaming markets.

What you’ll bring:  

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience across all areas of data privacy compliance in either a reputable law firm or a technology company, with expertise in online gaming, financial services, or another highly regulated industry preferred.

  • Strong academic credentials and at least a bachelor’s degree, with CIPT, CIPP/M, CIPP/US, or another relevant privacy-related certification held for a minimum of 2 years.

  • An in-depth command of U.S., EU, UK, and other global data privacy laws and regulations, including the GDPR and CCPA.

  • Several years of experience working closely with product and engineering teams in an agile environment as a Product Manager or a similar role.

  • Strong understanding of database and data infrastructure principles.

  • Background writing SQL queries for data exploration and analytics purposes.

  • Familiarity with industry-standard methods of encryption, anonymization, and other information security requirements.

  • A demonstrated commitment to ethical business practice and personal integrity.

  • An unquestionable work ethic, a strong sense of accountability, and the capacity to work cooperatively, diplomatically, and proactively with hundreds of colleagues in a demanding, global role.

This position can sit in either the Boston office or remote; however, this work is to be performed entirely outside of Colorado.
