Manager, Operations Center

DraftКings is seeking to hire a Manager, Operations Center to join one of the most fast-paced and highly dynamic teams in the company.

As a Manager, Operations center you will be responsible for managing the operations team by assisting with monitoring and technical support of the company's production environment and software applications.

You will oversee a large 24/7 team. You will take part in the Project work within the scope of the OPS Department, which involves making strategic decisions for this rapidly expanding market. You will be expected to lead by example, inspiring the rest of the team to follow your steps.

What you'll do as a Manager, Operation Center:

  • Day-to-day management of the operations team activity and members

  • Identifies and verifies service impact to customers and strives for a timely incident resolution

  • Provides training and guidance to new team members regarding both technologies used in the company and hardware/software architecture in the scope of effective Event and Incident management

  • Takes on process improvement and automation projects in the scope of the team's responsibilities

  • Communicates with multiple internal teams regarding ongoing incidents, requests, process improvement projects, and other deliverables

  • Maintain KPIs to measure the performance of the team and its members

What you'll bring:

  • Previous Leadership Experience in a complex and fast-paced break-fix technical operations team

  • Previous Experience in Technical Service monitoring

  • Good understanding of IT technologies and concepts (HTTP response code, TCP/IP, server virtualization, K8s, IIS, NGINX, CDN, WAF)

  • Good understanding of Event Management, Incident Management, and Request Management processes

  • Previous experience with PagerDuty and Datadog is an advantage

  • Project management experience is considered as an advantage

  • ITIL, Process optimization e.g. SixSigma or any other technical certification is a plus 

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Strong decision making and independence in a complex corporate environment

  • Setting an example to other team members

  • Fluency in English
