We are looking for a highly motivated Lead DevOps Engineer to join our Platform Engineering department. In this role, you will collaborate with our diverse team of engineers and architects to develop, maintain, and enhance our platform infrastructure, which powers hundreds of high-performance microservices created by over a thousand engineers. What you’ll do as a Lead DevOps Engineer:

  • Lead the design and implementation of our Kubernetes-centered platform infrastructure, ensuring scalability and maintaining high availability across 10+ production environments using a hybrid cloud approach (GCP, AWS, Azure, and on-premises data centers).

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address areas of improvement in our development and deployment processes utilizing GitOps, infrastructure-as-code, and CI/CD processes.

  • Implement robust monitoring and alerting solutions using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack.

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the performance and cost efficiency of our infrastructure.

  • Analyze technical requirements and decompose projects into manageable tasks, ensuring alignment with team capabilities and project timelines.

  • Foster the DevOps culture throughout the company, while leading long-term DevOps strategy planning, aligning with business objectives and emerging technological advancements.

  • Mentor and support DevOps Engineers, fostering their growth and skill development.

What you’ll bring:

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of DevOps experience.

  • Expertise in Kubernetes administration, including overall management and deployment.

  • Understanding of networking, Docker, and Linux administration.

  • Expertise in observability tools (Prometheus, ELK Stack, Grafana, DataDog, InfluxDB, or similar), with an understanding of how to build queries and set up alerts.

  • Proficiency in one or more scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, Python, Groovy, etc.)

  • Proficiency in CI/CD platforms (ideally Jenkins) and experience in creating pipelines.

  • Experience with cloud platforms (preferably GCP or AWS).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with GitOps (Flux), and/or infrastructure-as-a-code tools (Terraform, Ansible).

  • Experience with service discovery (Consul), load balancing (Kong, Nginx), streaming/messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and/or secret management systems (HashiCorp Vault, Sealed Secrets, AWS/Google Secret Manager).

  • Demonstrated experience in analyzing technical requirements and decomposing projects into manageable tasks, ensuring alignment with team capabilities and project timelines.

  • Software development experience is a plus.
