Compliance Manager

 We’re growing rapidly and are searching for a Compliance Manager to lead our compliance program for all DraftKings products, including but not limited to regulatory change management, issue management, and policy maintenance and development.  This role will also provide support and expertise to advise and guide the business in evaluating and developing effective internal compliance controls, program governance, and process improvements.  Sound good to you? What you’ll do as Corporate Compliance Manager:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key business partners to promote a culture of compliance

  • Advise on compliance with laws and regulations applicable to DraftKings

  • Oversee the regulatory change management processes, including regulatory inventory maintenance and soliciting feedback on proposed regulatory requirements from key business stakeholders

  • Ensure that compliance issue remediation efforts are sufficient and timely; Review action plans and remediation documentation to support event closure; Participate in root cause analysis and identify customer experience improvement activities. 

  • Establish and implement compliance policies and procedures throughout the organization to ensure that the fantasy sports compliance program is effective

  • Participate in new product and project meetings and provides compliance and risk advice, as well as ongoing information about new and changing regulatory developments

  • Provide reporting to Compliance leadership to inform the Compliance Committee of the state of risk & compliance quarterly

What you’ll bring:  

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Compliance, ideally working with regulatory bodies or external partners. 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. 

  • Proven ability to interpret and provide guidance on laws, rules, and regulations with solid project management and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to interpret and provide guidance on laws, rules, and regulations and resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.

  • Strong track record of effectively assessing and managing competing priorities in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment

  • Compliance or Risk Management certifications such as CAMS, CIPP, or CRCM, or willingness to obtain recommended certifications is preferred.

  • A demonstrated commitment to ethical business practice and personal integrity.

  • An unquestionable work ethic, a strong sense of accountability, and the capacity to work cooperatively, diplomatically, and proactively with hundreds of colleagues in a demanding, global role.
