Atlassian Administrator

Be the strategy behind the game.

We’re seeking an Atlassian Administrator who will be responsible for managing the highly active Atlassian instances across the enterprise. You’ll be responsible for the activation, configuration, and maintenance of the JIRA, Confluence, and other Atlassian applications.  In this role, you will install, configure, troubleshoot, and provide administrative support of the Atlassian products and plugins and determine ways to optimize process workflows and identify where functionality can be improved to meet the needs of application users.  Sounds good? What you’ll do as an Atlassian Administrator:

  • Administer JIRA and Confluence instances on a day-to-day basis.

  • Work with the site reliability (SRE) team to understand and control integrations between JIRA and Confluence with Bitbucket.

  • Monitor tickets and address issues in a timely manner, which may require research and meetings with users to determine solutions.

  • Set up and support new projects, roles, workflows, and security within the administered applications.

  • Open support tickets with 3rd party vendors to resolve issues as needed.

  • Document and communicate release notes and upcoming changes when upgrades are performed, as well as provide necessary training to users on new features.

  • Evaluate and make recommendations for new and existing plugins to the Atlassian stack.

  • Work with users on how they can optimally use supported platforms to meet their needs.

  • Identify tasks that are routine and propose ways to automate or streamline them.

  • Support and manage integrations to external systems, ensuring they are optimized.

  • Perform periodic reviews of the system environments for configurations, permissions, workflows, integrations, and logs.

What you’ll bring:

  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience working with the Atlassian product suite, with a specific focus on JIRA (Data Center or Server experience preferred). 

  • Ability to construct custom dashboards using various filter types in JIRA.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline will be considered an advantage. 

  • Ability to construct Confluence pages and integrate JIRA projects with Confluence pages.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work in a dynamic, agile environment.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Understanding of continuous integration and version control systems.

  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to focus on multiple tasks simultaneously.
