We’re growing rapidly and are looking for an attorney to work with the Commercial Transactions team to support DraftKings’ business. When joining us, you’ll be providing legal services and will coordinate with other internal functions to ensure our business achieves its goals in compliance with all laws, rules, and regulations. What will you do as an Associate Corporate Counsel:

  • Provide legal support to our best-in-class commercial transactions team.

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including SaaS, iGaming, data feeds, affiliate, non-disclosure, consulting services, promotional services, and other material agreements.

  • Assist in the maintenance and revision of privacy policies, terms of use, house rules, contest rules, and internal controls.

  • Advise on and minimize company risks through contract negotiations.

  • Coordinate with other internal functions to ensure internal business alignment and compliance with laws, rules, and regulations.

  • Assist with post-acquisition integrations.

  • Understand, manage, and advise key stakeholders of legal and business risks.

  • Other related duties, as assigned.

What you’ll bring:

  • 4 to 5 years of experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial transaction agreements as in-house counsel or with a top tier law firm.

  • Bachelor of Laws (or equivalent) from a reputable academic institution, with excellent academic credentials.

  • License to practice law in the UK.

  • Ability to consider different legal perspectives and suggest solutions to complex problems from a practical perspective.

  • Strong work ethic and dedication to producing the best-in-class legal work.

  • Ability to manage tight deadlines and multiple complex projects simultaneously.

  • A strong sense of integrity and professionalism.

  • Highly motivated and the ability to take initiative and advocate for the business.

  • The ability to work independently and as a member of a global team, both with departmental colleagues and others in the company.

  • The ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with others at all levels of the organization.
