We’re growing rapidly and searching for a Lead Network Operations Engineer to design, build, and support our core network infrastructure and information security systems, both in the cloud and on the premises. What you’ll do as a Lead Network Operations Engineer:

  • Maintain, secure, deploy, and optimize DraftKings infrastructure to ensure all DraftKings employees can perform their daily responsibilities without interruption.
  • Reduce operational bottlenecks with regards to Network Administration through automation and advancements in technology.
  • Develop metrics to measure system performance and implement best practices.
  • Work as part of a team to discuss and collaborate on ideas and solutions.
  • Build a hybrid cloud that offers benefits, like greater agility, elasticity, self-service, and cost control.

What skills you will use:

  • Ideally, you have 7-10 years of Network engineering experience.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of TCP/IP network fundamentals. Aruba/Juniper network infrastructure.
  • Ability to configure NGFW policy such as the Fortinet FortiGate and SonicWALL NSa platforms.
  • Comfortable with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.
  • Experience working within AWS & GCP cloud networking infrastructure (VPC, VGW, TGW, Direct Connect, BGP, ECMP, VPC peering, etc.).
  • Experience with configuration management & automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible Metric collection and analysis using monitoring tools.
  • Knowledge of centralized logging infrastructure and log querying, such as ELK.
  • Atlassian product knowledge, Jira and Confluence.
  • Comfortable working with IAAS solutions to automate as much as possible.
  • Ability to translate engineered solutions to detailed technical documentation.
