Internal Tools Team Lead

Shape a rapidly scaling organization.
We want someone who can make multiple internal systems talk to each other e.g. once an employee is hired, trigger downstream systems to provision that new user. Can you learn how our systems work, build the integration and deploy the infrastructure to keep the integration running as mission critical systems?Your background may be from IT infrastructure, DevOps, SRE or groups where integration of critical systems required development.

What you’ll do as an Internal Tools Team Lead:

  • Work with technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple regions within DraftKings to define requirements and design/engineer solutions that are scalable, robust, and reliable.
  • Build and manage a team that can design, develop, deliver and manage integrations to internal DraftKings systems, these will include bespoke systems and 3rd party products that constitute the DraftKings ecosystem.
  • Care about agility as much as you care about scalability. Priorities can change and are looking for a team that can pivot at a moment’s notice.

What skills you will use:

  • You have experience as the ‘expert’ on a team where you were responsible for everything from planning to delivering key features.
  • You may come from an IT, SRE, DevOps background and understand how systems interact.
  • Understand how to integrate systems, think outside the box to determine MVP and iterate solutions.
  • Preferred would be to be capable of full stack development with expertise in at least one object-oriented language like C# or Java OR scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Ruby.
  • Be an influencer, understand how to bring people from different parts of the organization together.
  • Understand how to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate requirements into solutions that people will adopt and utilize.
