DraftKings, the leading DFS, Sports Betting, and iGaming operator, is seeking a dynamic leader to join us as our new Vice President of VIP. In this role, you will head up the company’s efforts to ensure DraftKings is America’s #1 destination with high-value customers across each segment of our target markets, holding the highest standards of accountability to performance. Your team will be tasked with managing the full funnel of VIP customers, from identifying prospective players and earning a trial through our National VIP Marketing programs, to building long-term, caring, healthy relationships with all customers based on trust and respect. You will ensure we always do the right thing in the ways we live and implement a culture of responsible gaming and compliance throughout the VIP experience.

You will deeply understand the product and competitive environment, and help your department craft value propositions for each customer that will make DraftKings their platform of choice. As the champion of and internal voice of the VIP customer, you will inform roadmaps and ensure we deliver a best-in-class value proposition to high-value users. You will be a thought leader delivering value across all functions (brand & marketing, operations, product) to ensure DraftKings is the destination for high-value customers.

What you’ll do:

  • Work with the President, DK North America to recommend and gain support for long term strategies to identify prospects, acquire, retain and win the loyalty of all key VIP customer segments
  • Develop and maintain full-funnel VIP strategy to compete for #1 national market share, including plans across all key segments that reflect an understanding of the competitive landscape
  • Oversee the creation and execution of our detailed VIP business plan across all products and verticals to achieve planned revenues
  • Build organization, recruit for, and lead a team of 50+ VIP staff, including National VIP Marketing, Player Development Executives, Operations, Hosts, and CRM teams
  • Culture driver, a relentless drive towards excellence in customer experience
  • Ensure roles and responsibilities within the organization are understood, and clear measures of success are defined for each person on the team
  • Execute responsible gaming and regulatory compliance programs and training infallibly
  • Acts as a thought leader to partner with other teams, including product, marketing, business development, events, and more to drive success and alignment across internal teams
  • Works closely with the Analytics teams to monitor reinvestment programs including comps and other earned or reward incentives by routinely checking reports and actual transactions
  • Build and implement world-class operations, including the development of training programs, overseeing the development of the VIP CRM systems to improve reporting, targeting, and customer relationship management workflows
  • Evaluates the success of the various initiatives we have going on to ensure we are continuously improving the outcomes with our VIP playersSupports the team to identify vendors, negotiate terms and create proposals with third-party partnerships
  • Responsible for completion of performance evaluations, training guidelines/coaching & mentoring programs, and employee engagement programs
  • Create Action Plans around focus areas for the department, including response plans to identified areas of performance opportunity, and execute to high impact

What skills you will use:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field is required
  • A minimum of 12 years of experience in the gaming/hospitality/sales/marketing industry is required
  • A minimum of 8 years experience managing a sales and marketing team, with a specific focus on cultivating VIP relationships is required
  • Experience developing VIP team performance standards, including quality and activity levels is required
  • Excellent leadership skills with demonstrated ability to coach and develop talent are required
  • Must possess excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM system  is requiredYou will be required to obtain and maintain required Gaming LicensesExperience with developing sales compensation plans a plus
